My Pros and Cons after I purchased and used this blower from Amazon:

PROs:

• Easy to start! This is a cordless tool I can easily slide on the charged battery and use immediately

• It’s not gas! (no mess and you don’t have to smell like exhaust after using it)

• No pull start ( I find a pull start hard to do by myself)

• It came with a strap to aid in holding and carrying the blower for better ergonomics and body mechanics

• Has a variable speed control for continuous use, if I did not want to constantly engage the trigger. (Better ergonomics and decreases my hand fatigue)

• Has a turbo booster for increased blowing force in case I need a little more power

• The battery fully charged in under 50 minutes, but I used the blower after 10 minutes of charging

• The same battery can be used for other EGO tools (hedge trimmer, saw, and weed trimmer)

• Lightweight as compared to our gas blower

• Quieter than our gas blower

• Less vibration than gas blower

•  Runs for 90 minutes 

CONS:

• Weight of the battery plus the blower is about 10 pounds so I found that I needed to use the cross body strap to aid in carrying the blower for extended periods of time

• Expensive but if you have other EGO battery operated tools, you don’t need to buy the battery combo with the blower

Overall Rating For the EGO Power Blower:

Here is another cordless tool that does not have a pull start motor!  As I have said before, not many women like a pull start motor!. I love this EGO battery operated tool. I can slip on this battery and start blowing my leaves or grass off my sidewalks immediately. The battery life is about 90 minutes, which is more than enough time than I need to blow off my back porch and sidewalks.

Most users who are experienced with leaf blowers will be right at home with the variable speed trigger, which lets you adjust from “off” to full power with just one finger. The turbo feature, which is controlled by a button under the thumb on the top of the hand grip, is comfortably placed and easy to use.

It is expensive, but a lot of the EGO cordless tools use the same battery, so you don't need to buy more than one battery charger unit. Overall, this was a great purchase for this independent woman who loves yard work!
