Cons of the Small Garden Seat for the Senior Gardener

-since it sits lower than other stools, it would be harder for someone with a bad back or knees to sit and garden from such a low position

-gardener has to have good balance to get up to standing (no handles to aid in pushing up to standing)

Is It Worth it? – Do I recommend the Small Rocker Garden Stool for Seniors?

IT depends...

If you are a senior that moves around pretty well and balance is pretty good, then yes the small rocker gardening stool is worth it. The price at publication was under $40 and that is a bargain considering how durable it is and how lightweight it is.

I find it brings great value along with prevention of injury in the garden. It's sturdy, rust proof and easy on your back and knees.

As a Physical Therapist, preventing postures that cause pain over time, are the name of the game. When you sit and garden, it puts the spine into a better posture than bending over repeatedly from a standing position and you will have more endurance to garden longer.

As I tell my patients, we need to work smarter, not harder as we age and this Small Garden seat helps us work in the garden smarter and enjoy gardening longer into our older years.

IT depends...

If you do have trouble getting yourself up from low seats, I would recommend either a wheeled garden stool or a kneeler seat combo instead. I have done a review for both on my website
